The largest town in the state of Maryland – Baltimore

As mentioned above, it is the largest city in the federal state of Maryland, where over 770,000 inhabitants currently live. What do you think about this town? Basic information about the metro in Baltimore

The backbone of city transport is metro and rail. We will first focus on a metro that has only one line. Metro length is over 25 kilometers and has up to 14 stations. The stations are divided into overground (6) and underground (8).

To facilitate transport orientation, there is a sign at each of the metro stations that show you the continuity of individual buses and trains. As far as the metro lines are concerned, the operation begins one week later than on weekdays.

On weekdays, the metro is in service from 5:00 to 24:00, therefore almost every day and runs every 8 to 11 minutes.

How much does the fare cost?

Go Pass – a ticket for the metro in Baltimore You can purchase four types of tickets:

All day – about $3.50
Weekly – $22
Monthly – $68

Tickets can be bought at every metro station and can be paid in cash or by credit card. A one-time non-transferable ticket costs a maximum of $ 1.60. The all-day ticket is valid on both the metro, buses, and trains. You pay up to $ 3.50 for it. Weekly and monthly benefits are reduced compared to full-time, and most travelers will not use them. A weekly ticket comes at $ 22.
