Basic information about the metro in Harbin

Construction of the Harbin Metro began in 2009. The first line was introduced to the public in 2013. In 2017 it was extended with another line 3, which together have a length of 23 km at a total of 22 metro stations. Plans are for further changes and extensions to the existing lines – these should be completed by 2020. In addition, another 3 lines are planned to be completed after 2025. In total, the metro line will have 340 km.

Ticket price

The fare is from 2 to 4 yuan, depending on the distance traveled. You can either purchase a regular fare or buy a card to recharge. Tickets and cards can be purchased and recharged at any metro station in the vending machine or at the ticket office.

The list of all metro stations in Harbin

Harbin’s metro system is consists of two lines.

Line 1 – Red

The first line (red) is consists of 18 metro stations. It begins in East Railway Station, Huashujie, Jiaotongxueyuan, Taipingqiao, Gongchengdaxue, Yanchang, Yidayiyuan, Bowuguan, Tieluju, Hagongda, Xidaqiao, Hexinglu, Xuefulu, Ligongdaxue, Heilongjiang Daxue, Yidaeryuan, Hada and the last one South Railway Station.

Line 3 – Orange

The second line (orange) is consists of 5 metro stations. It begins in Yidaeryuan, Haxidajie, Harbindajie, Harbinxizhan (West Railway Station) and the last one Chengxianglu.

Time tables

Both lines operate regularly every day from 6 am to 9 pm. Depending on the particular day, busy times and time, it runs every 4, 6 or 10 minutes. Specific timetable times are available on site.

Bus transportation
